"Beyond the Lines" features the work of two painters in Tuscaloosa. This exhibit explores their line work, color, and how they approach their respective painting practices. Both work in the public sectors in their roles in the community, and it is in their studios where it is distilled and processed. While uniquely different, their contrasts offer the viewer a look into their inner worlds beyond their professional roles.
Sturgis holds a BFA in studio art from the University of Montevallo and is represented by Beverly McNeil Gallery in Birmingham, Alabama. Trained in studio art, White holds an MFA from RIT- The School for American Crafts, and a BFA from the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, AL.
Rotating exhibits on the 2nd floor with the permanent collection presented on the 1st floor.
